Birdwatching – robin

I rarely see “my” robin in summer, so one of the great joys of autumn is its return to the garden. No matter how rough I’m feeling, the sight of a red red robin bobbing through the branches of the apple tree and onto the feeder always lifts my heart.

  1. Did you know that the reason we call it a red breast is because at the time they were seen here we didn’t have a word for orange? (Thank you QI 🙂 )
    They were my grandma’s favourite bird and always make me think of her…
