Recuperation

My energy levels are still low after the long day with my brother on Sunday and I know from long experience that I’ll recover more quickly if I accept the need to rest more than usual. I need to keep physical activity to a bare minimum until I’m back to what is normal for me.

The tricky time is when I start to feel better, when the urge to get on with all the things I’ve put aside for the last few days begins to tempt me. But for now it is enough that I’m doing the basic domestic necessities and keeping to my challenge of writing something here every day in May.

While I rest my body I keep my mind occupied with reading, iPlayer, random net-surfing and scribbling notes for topics to write about in the future.
